In this sense, science may refer to a highly skilled technique, technology, or practice, from which a good deal of randomness in outcome has been removed. In its more restricted contemporary sense, science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge based on scientific method, and to the organized body of knowledge gained through such research. St.D.R. Public Sr. Sec. School has specially designed a science lab for the students of classes 6th to 10th. The lab is well maintained and well ventilated. Science lab can accommodate 30 students easily at a time. In the lab we have an articulated skeleton, charts on different body parts and other necessary equipments which are necessary for the practical work and different projects.

Physics is fundamental science. It is the knowledge of material universe, whereas technology transfers knowledge of physics into practical shape. So to give the practical knowledge to the students, physics lab is constructed in St.D.R. Public School with all latest apparatus for all the experiments. Our Physics Lab consists of all the instruments related with electricity, so that students can get knowledge of electrical circuits. Logic gates, semiconductors. IC`s are also provided to students so that they can get knowledge of latest technology related with chips and digital systems.

School has a well organized and well equipped biology Lab. All the preserved specimens and prepared slides are present in the lab. Our lab can accommodate 20 students easily at a time. A full time, qualified lab attendant is also present to help the students during practical.

St.D.R. Public Sr. Sec. School has established two different computer labs. One is for senior classes and other is for junior classes. The school has well-equipped networking computer labs. The computers are loaded with latest software applications including SPSS, TALLY, Visual Basic, oracle and also all the designing soft wares like Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop etc. The lab is also equipped with Laser Printers, Web cameras and Scanners. Students can access all the academic and non-academic information through the internet. The AUDIO VISUAL ROOM has a projector attached to the computer to give a large screen display.

The school has a well stocked library. A large number of Indian journals, magazines and newspapers are subscribed to. New books and CDs are added to the library every year. Reading room facilities are provided within the library and students are encouraged to use this facility.
